Faith can be a tricky thing. Perhaps you're both Christian but one of you is more devout than the other. Or perhaps one of you is Baptist while another is Methodist. Or maybe it's just as simple as you prefer different congregations. But if there's a true spiritual connection it's possible for your relationship to flourish.
Ask yourself how strongly religion defines you and informs your life. Is it a central part of your identity or just one of the many things that makes you the special person you are?
Religion can become a thorny issue too when it comes to raising children. If you’re more religious, will you insist on the children being raised your way? If you’re less religious, will you be OK acquiescing to your partner’s wishes?
It’s important to define what rituals, beliefs, and practices from Christianity are important to you. Some people would like their partner to believe everything they do, while others are fine with them just agreeing on central tenets. Even if they attend church with you, it may be possible that they are not as strong in their faith. They may be going out of obligation.
Take a look at your church as well. Is this a congregation that is more welcoming? Or is it one that makes a clear distinction between who is a believer and who isn’t? If you need a partner that is going to adhere to the same strict standards, you may have a smaller pool to date from.
At the end of the day, if you are looking for solid Christian relationship, you may want to be with someone who can love Christ as much as you do, regardless of their semantics of their beliefs. |

|
A woman was surprised to find a hidden cache of antique jewellery inside a bag purchased at an opportunity shop in Rosebud, south-east of Melbourne.
The woman bought a pink satin zipper bag on March 19.
It contained more than six gold rings, a rose gold chain bracelet, watches, earrings and necklaces. |
